Ceola J. Griffin — Founder, Writer, Producer & Director of CJG Productions

Founder

Ceola J. Griffin

Writer · Producer · Director · Set Designer · Casting Director

Ceola J. Griffin is a visionary writer, director, producer, and faith-driven creative whose work is anchored in storytelling, transformation, and purpose. As the founder of CJG Productions, she leads a multi-dimensional platform that spans film, stage, media, coaching, and community impact.

Her theatrical journey began with From Female to Woman to Lady (2017), followed by the powerful If These Walls Could Talk series — productions known for their honest portrayal of family, faith, healing, and real-life struggles. Through her work, Ceola creates more than performances — she creates experiences that allow audiences to see themselves, reflect, and grow.

In 2020, Ceola created 212 Vernon Place, a family sitcom based on her stage play series, which debuted on YouTube and on the beta run of her network, CJ Network TV. Expanding from stage to screen, she recorded her stage play Finding Her Voice in 2021, which was featured on Broadway On Demand — a pivotal step into film and digital distribution. She is now bringing that story to life through her upcoming feature film, Finding Her Voice for Christmas.

Beyond film and theater, Ceola is the publisher of Home with Ceola J., a faith-centered lifestyle magazine, and the host of IMPACT with Ceola J., where real stories of faith, resilience, and transformation are shared to educate, encourage, and inspire.

At CJG Productions, Ceola

  • Leads the creative vision of every production
  • Writes all original scripts and screenplays
  • Directs stage plays and film productions
  • Designs the sets for all stage plays
  • Casts all cast members across productions
"Through every platform she leads, Ceola's mission remains the same: to create faith-centered, emotionally driven content and experiences that inspire healing, awaken purpose, and remind others of the power of their voice."

Don Dusty Phelps — Director, CJG Productions

Director

Don "Dusty" Phelps

Don "Dusty" Phelps is a powerhouse in the world of theater, whose journey is a testament to purpose, passion, and bold reinvention. After a remarkable 36-year career in Corporate America, Dusty made the life-changing decision to exchange his suit and tie for stage lights and scripts — fully stepping into his lifelong calling in the arts.

A graduate of California State University, Hayward, where he majored in Theatrical Arts, Dusty has always carried a deep love for performance and storytelling. Following his retirement in 2012, he pursued acting with renewed passion, quickly establishing himself in local theater with a commanding presence and authentic delivery.

His work with CJG Productions includes standout roles such as David in From Female to Woman to Lady (2017) and the unforgettable Deacon Kingsley in the If These Walls Could Talk trilogy, where he also served as co-director (2018–2019). In 2020, he reprised his role as Deacon Kingsley while co-directing the television sitcom 212 Vernon Place, as well as the acclaimed gospel stage play Finding Her Voice.

Beyond the theater, Dusty is deeply committed to service and community — a mentor to youth and a gifted culinary creative who has served faithfully as a leader and head chef at his church, operating a food pantry that provides meals to underserved and unhoused populations.

"His journey continues to inspire, proving that it is never too late to walk boldly in what you were created to do."
